After the creation of the Wiener Rover, the (at the time) latest member of the Wienermobile fleet, Oscar Mayer wanted to keep the hot dog buzz going. The solution was a no-brainer.

In response to Al Roker calling us out on national television, as well as people's great reaction to the Wiener Rover in general, we decided to keep roving right into the holiday season. How? By creating the Mini Wiener Rover. The beefy little brother of the original Rover that measures just over 11 in. x 22 in. (or about 4 hot dogs by 2 hot dogs).
Shut up and take my money!
It debuted on Cyber Monday, available exclusively through Twitter's Buy-Now function. Each day that week, we released a limited number of Mini Rovers. And the demand for these little vehicles far exceeded the supply. They sold out in 3 seconds on average. And with over 2.3 million impressions, we created something big from something mini.
